As of Monday July 25, 2011, the NFL players and owners had reached a tentative agreement on ending the lockout. If all goes according to plan, the Jets should be able to resign at least two of the three aforementioned players. While Smith is a phenomenal kickoff return man, let’s hope the Jets sign both Edwards and Holmes.

The other big need for the Jets is a backup quarterback, who can step in if Mark Sanchez gets injured. New York is a team that hasn’t won a Super Bowl in nearly 40 years; however this year appears to be the year they do so.
